What the five points mean

Day — portrait

How you come across: manner, first impression, the way you usually behave.

Month — strength

What comes easily and can be leaned on when something has to be done well and fast.

Year — family background

The environment you grew up in and the rules that feel normal by default.

Sum — task

The total of the first three. Tradition calls it the direction worth paying attention to.

Centre — core

What ties the four points together and where you return after a hard stretch.

Diagonal square

Four smaller numbers between the points, read as behaviour with other people.

How the matrix is built

The day is taken as it is: someone born on the 14th has 14 at the first point. Anything above 22 has 22 subtracted, so the 29th becomes arcana 7. The month works the same way. The year is summed digit by digit: 1987 gives 25, and 25 minus 22 is 3.

The fourth point is the sum of the first three, and the centre is the sum of all four. The same arcana appearing in several positions does not double its meaning — it intensifies the trait until it is obvious to everyone, including you.

What the matrix does not do. It does not name dates, diagnose illness, promise money or tell you whom to leave. It is a way of describing yourself in different words.
